On Remembrance Sunday 2019, the testimonies of one hundred remarkable people are going to be delivered live from the stage of Manchester’s iconic Royal Exchange Theatre. The words of this extraordinary one-off performance will also be broadcast live – for the full twenty-four hours – on national radio station Resonance FM.
Director NEIL BARTLETT says; “For the past six months, I’ve been travelling the length and breadth of the UK, capturing the stories of some amazing people. From a 99-year-old Conscientious Objector to a recently-returned worker from a Syrian refugee camp; from a trans activist to an outspoken imam; from an ex-member of the National Front to an IRA bomb survivor, all of these people have one thing in common; they have all committed themselves to the work of peace. I want their stories to be heard.”
24 HOURS OF PEACE is going to be a very special event, on a very special day; a unique act of witness to the work of peace.
